About

I'm Nicholas Kouzmanoff, a finance student at the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business, with a deep interest in markets, capital allocation, and the structures that move the global economy. I believe that understanding finance is understanding how the world makes decisions.

This past year I placed in the Utah Real Estate Competition developing a $70.2M community and wellness center proposal, and built an AI prototype for healthcare resource management at a hackathon — experiences that confirmed the kind of work I want to do. I'm actively looking for opportunities in real estate, venture capital, and investment management.

Outside of finance, I shoot film. I sell prints, take on family commissions, and have submitted work to magazines. There is something about the patience required — committing to an exposure before you see the result — that mirrors the way I think about investing. You study, you decide, and then you wait.
